Synopsis :

Mai (the brunette with generous dimensions) and Reo (the blonde with the less advantageous forms) are two students from same school and are in love with each other. May, more enterprising than his girlfriend, does not fail to let him know how much she loves him at every opportunity.
One day, Reo falls ill and finds himself all alone in her room. May decides to watch over her ...

Sono Hanabira or Kuchizuke wo (translate as "I kiss the flower petals) is basically a series of eroge (erotic or games) featuring female characters more or less recurring in the stories tend to yuri (female version of yaoi), the whole being a mixture between lesbian romances very "blue flower" and the sex scenes more or less daring. Eight games exist, but the most popular remains the third, whose heroines are May and Reo, and, as such, now enjoys a lively adaptation of a little over twenty minutes.

Yet despite the poverty of the scenario, Sono Hanabira... has also, and above all, undeniable qualities.

First, the chara-design is particularly successful, and because it is the same as Strawberry Panic, highlighting the emotions and facial expressions of the two protagonists. The BGM are simple (a sweet melody played on piano), but very pretty.

Other merit, Sono Hanabira... avoids the pitfalls too recurrent in the current hentai: no close-ups of French slobbering kisses and awkward (the staging is known to keep a safe distance), or breasts as imposing as those of the heroines of the films of Russ Meyer (Reo Just like in the game, forms far less advantageous than those of Mai, which are not overly generous).

But mostly, Sono Hanabira exudes a certain emotion, both in the characters of the characters, Mai, enterprising, but also very romantic and in love with Reo, the tsundere character not always easy, but more fragile than we think. The chemistry of their relationship is remarkably enhanced in scenes very kawaii, whether soft or explicit.
The sexual situations remain subtle, never vulgar, and still remains a moving occasion (although it is far from the excitement generated by the conclusion of Shoujo Sect) for Mai and Reo to declare their love.

Ultimately, if the OAV (which could be followed by others in case of success) yuri is not as well written a Stainless Night and do not provide as much emotion as a Shoujo Sect, it does fact remains to be recommended for fans of hentai and fans of quality (trices) of yuri.
